Greenhouse Gases

A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases produced, directly or indirectly, by people, organizations, products, events and geographic areas, usually expressed in terms of metric tons of CO2 equivalent, used as a tool for quantifying the impact of a certain activity or process on climate change. According to the GHG Protocol, the carbon footprint consists of three scopes:

Scope 1 Scope 2 Scope 3
Direct emissions from stationary and mobile sources Indirect emissions due to the third-party generation of purchased electricity Other indirect emissions in the supply chain

Our corporate sustainable development goal in matters of emissions is to reduce by 50% our greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030 with 2018 as baseline.
