The forestry business is responsible for managing the Company’s plantations in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
The Company’s forests in both Chile and Brazil have the following Responsible Forestry Management certifications: FSC® (FSC-C006246), CERTFOR–PEFC CERFLOR–PEFC.
CMPC has three sawmills in Chile, located in:
Furthermore, it has two remanufacturing mills in Los Ángeles and Coronel, as well as a plywood mill in Mininco, close to the Pacífico pulp mill.

The Guaíba mills are supplied mainly from company forests, which are cultivated free of controversy and easily traceable to the final destination. This is evidenced by the following custody chain certificates: CERTFOR-PEFC in Chile, CERFLOR in Brazil and FSC® (FSC-C007488) in both countries.
The three mills in Chile have updated Integrated Management Systems as validated by ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18.001 certifications. Worthy of mention is the ISO 50.001 certification obtained by the subsidiary during 2014.

Francisco Ruiz–Tagle E. – General Manager CMPC Forestal/Celulosa
Francisco Ruiz-Tagle studied Business Management with a specialization in Economics at the Universidad de Chile, and obtained an MBA from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He joined CMPC in 1991 and has held various positions, including General Manager of Celulosa Pacífio, Manager of Financial Operations at Empresas CMPC and General Manager of Papelera del Plata, the CMPC tissue operation in Argentina.
In 2007, he was appointed General Manager of CMPC Productos de Papel, a subsidiary now merged with CMPC Papeles. He served as General Manager of CMPC Forestal from 2011 until January 2016, when he was appointed General Manager of CMPC Celulosa/Forestal.
