Growth of CMPC staff numbers in Latin America

A total staff of 17,562 worked at CMPC and its subsidiaries at 31 December 2015. This figure is 4.4% higher than at the same period in 2014, equivalent to 738 people, due principally to growth in the Tissue and Pulp divisions (489 and 161 people, respectively).

Staff at the Tissue division represented 48.6% of total CMPC personnel. This division has operations in the eight Latin American countries where CMPC has an industrial presence.

CMPC staff outside Chile represented 45.5%of total staff numbers in 2015, with 7,986 workers, compared to 7,548 workers in 2014. Of total staff working outside Chile, 83.5% belonged to the Tissue division.

There has been sustained growth in the percentage of CMPC staff working outside Chile: from 25% in 2007 to 45.5% in 2015.

The percentage of women reached 13.4% of the total CMPC workforce in 2015. This percentage has been increasing gradually since 2007 when it was 7.6%.
